Chai Pendant [I'll have this item back in early January.]
The word for "life" in Hebrew is "chai." The two Hebrew letters that make up the word "chai" are chet and yud. In Gematria (the numerical value of Hebrew letters), chai is equivalent to 8 and yud is equivalent to 10. So "chai", chet and yud together, equals 18. For this reason, 18 is a lucky number in Judaism.
The Chai symbol is usually worn as a medallion around the neck (along with the Star of David, or Magen David, and the Hamsa or Hamesh).
Sterling silver, .7 inches. Available in silver finish or oxidized.
Also available in 14 and 18 karat gold. Order gold jewelry by contacting Bella directly. Gold orders take 3-6 weeks for delivery.
